Wedding Vows Renewed...

After 30 years, Roger decided to surprise his wife Chong with the wedding celebration they were not able to do the first time around. They met and fell in love in Korea, married in a chapel without family, and in a rented gown, the marriage began, their love grew along with their family...

I first met the Marcotte's in 2004 when I planned their daughter, Hannah's wedding. When Hannah called me last year to ask if I could help her and Roger plan the surprise weekend I was thrilled!

After scouting the valley, Calistoga Ranch was chosen for the November 7, 2009 celebration with 50 of their closest family and friends in attendance. Chong wore a traditional "Honbok" a Korean wedding gown that Hannah had custom made in her mothers favorite color pink.

All of the printed materials had the Korean symbol for love and were letter pressed in a soft peachy pink.

We continued with pink through out the design, but wanted to keep it rich and sophisticated with elegance. Using pink in the fall season can be challenging, to neutralize we added rich chocolate browns and lots of candle light for a warm glow.

Each guest received a set of chopsticks at their place setting that were wrapped in traditional flowered paper which we used as a place card for seating assignments as well. The first toast was with Korean sake "Soju" in the most perfect petite pink sake cups!

It was a delight to see the happy couple celebrate the years they had been together and to have the party they had always wanted. I was honored to be a part of it...

Thank you to the following that I am so proud to work with and who always make me look good!
